Emil leads the firm as president effective January 1, 2003, serves as the Director of Audit and Assurance Services and Director of Quality Control, and leads our Governmental Services Team. He specializes in governmental, for-profit, and nonprofit auditing, as well as auditing of employee benefit plans, and is well known for his services to Michigan cities, townships, and public school districts, as well as many nonprofit entities. Emil also has significant experience with closely held businesses, including significant work in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
After joining the firm in 1990, Emil was promoted to Principal in 1997. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan – Flint with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and also received his MBA from Grand Valley State University. Emil is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Ottawa County Treasurers’ Association.
